HIGHLIGHTS
· New Haven opened up the game scoring on the opening possession with Galler scoring her fifth of the season off a feed from O'Brien.
· The Ravens responded by rattling off three straight goals before New Haven answered with back-to-back from Cietek to knot the game at three.
· Following an answer from Franklin Pierce, the Chargers again went to work, this time scoring three straight to take a two-goal advantage with 10 minutes remaining. All three goals in the run came from different players with Cietek netting her third and O'Brien and Reh each tallying their first.
· Cietek closed out the half adding one more goal, her fourth of the day, to regain a two-goal advantage with 6:15 remaining as neither team would score the remainder of the half.
· The two squads would play back-and-forth for the first 20 minutes of the second half with the largest lead in that span, a three goal, 9-6, advantage for New Haven. That lead came courtesy of back-to-back Chargers goals with Belanger scoring on a free position attempt and Reh tallying her second of the day thanks to a pass from O'Brien.
· Franklin Pierce would manage its own back-to-back scores that resulted in the second tie of the afternoon at 12-12. New Haven rallied after that stalemate by scoring the next six goals to put the game out of reach.
· Cietek tipped off that rally with her first score of the half, her fifth of the day, scoring unassisted. After a goal from Belanger just over two minutes later, Cietek struck again to record her most goals in a Blue and Gold uniform, again working by herself for the tally.
· The rally would continue as the rookie attack Rattigan and junior Mazliah connected on back-to-back scores that came just 46 seconds apart. The final goal in the run for New Haven came on a free position attempt from O'Brien with two minutes remaining.
