WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The University of New Haven men's soccer team fell to the Merrimack Warriors on Saturday afternoon at Kayo Field by a 3-0 score. With the loss, the Chargers move to 0-5 on the season and 0-2 in the Northeast-10 conference.
Merrimack got the ball rolling early in the match, scoring all three goals in the first 22 minutes of the contest. New Haven was not able to catch up for the remainder of the match, only registering two shots on the day from graduate student
Brian Rebelo (Danbury, Conn./Danbury) and junior
Sukrija Dudic (Richmond, Va./Hermitage).
In net, sophomore goalkeeper
Stefano Lorusso (Auckland, New Zealand/Sacred Heart College) matched his season-high in saves with ten.
