WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The University of New Haven women's tennis team suffered a 5-2 decision to the Le Moyne Dolphins in a Northeast-10 Conference matchup at the University of New Haven tennis courts on Saturday afternoon. With the defeat, New Haven completed its conference schedule with a 7-4 mark, the most conference wins since the 2012-13 season.

Le Moyne earned the doubles point on the day, however graduate student Laura Fermosel (Colmenar Viejo, Spain/ÍES Rosa Chacel) and sophomore Stephanie Gonzalez (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico/Academia Maria Reina) improved their No. 1 doubles mark to 11-1 on the year with a 7-5 defeat over Birdem Oz and Tiffany Hamdan.

In singles action, Fermosel grabbed her second victory of the day, as she sailed past Hamdan in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1 to move her record to 9-2 at the No. 1 court. Sophomore Lilia Rodriguez (Bayamon, Puerto Rico/Colegio Marista) grabbed New Haven's second point on the match as she split the first two sets with Nunez, 6-4 and 0-6, before coming out on top in the tiebreak set, 10-7.
