WEST HAVEN, Conn. - The New Haven women's soccer team dropped a 4-0
NE10 decision to the visiting Pace Setters on Wednesday afternoon at Kathy
Zolad Stadium.
The Setters took an early lead in the first half scoring two goals in the first 20 minutes of the game. The Pace offense first attacked off a corner kick that was triggers by Victoria
Barris with the goal touched in by Grace
Incledon. Marta
Sadornil worked off a pass from Cecilia
Puentes to record the Setters second goal. Defensively, Pace held the New Haven to a single shot on goal.
The Setters offense kept attacking in the second half, scoring two additional goals, both of which came within the first 15 minutes. Goalkeeper
Paige Davis (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) collected five total saves on the game, four coming in the first half.
The next time New Haven takes to the pitch, the Chargers will be on the road for a conference game when they travel to Adelphi on Saturday, October 5. Opening kickoff against the Panthers is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
