The Chargers broke open the first set with an 11-4 run, turning an 8-4 lead into a comfortable 19-8 edge, en route to a 25-11 victory.
New Haven then surged out to an 8-0 lead in the second set, thanks in part to a pair of kills from Fera. Bloomfield won the next three points, but the Chargers won seven of the next nine to build a 15-5 lead. Bloomfield would get no closer than seven, as the Chargers took the set 25-12 to go up 2-0.
Bloomfield made a push early in the third set, rattling off seven unanswered points to take a 7-3 lead. The Chargers quickly erased their only deficit of the day, rallying to tie the match at 9-9, then scoring five of the next seven points to take a 14-11 lead that they never relinquished. Bloomfield got back within two at 16-14, but the Blue and Gold won eight of the final 10 points to finish off the final set 25-16 and earn the sweep.
New Haven will wrap up its three-game homestand on Tuesday evening with a non-conference matchup against Molloy at 7 p.m.
