Manchester, N.H. – The New Haven women's soccer team dropped a 5-2 decision against Southern New Hampshire on Saturday evening in NE10 action. Mackenzie Myers (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) and Jenna Peduzzi (Old Lyme, Conn./Old Lyme) each tallied a goal in the contest with Myers second of the season putting the Chargers on the board in the first half.
The Penmen and the Chargers offense both started off strong, each scoring in the first 20 minutes of the game. Myers tapped in the game-tying goal in the 18th minute when she tapped in a cross from Peduzzi. SNHU closed out the first half firing off 17 shots, eight on goal.
New Haven's offense did not give up with Jenna Peduzzi (Old Lyme, Conn./Old Lyme) chipping in a goal in the second half, to cut Southern New Hampshire's lead to two. Paige Davis (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) closed out the contest collecting nine saves.
