BOX SCORE WEST HAVEN, Conn. – For the second time in as many days, New Haven women's tennis emerged victorious, the latest win coming in a 7-0 sweep of Molloy on Sunday afternoon.
The Chargers won all 15 sets played on the afternoon and all nine matches. Leading the way were sophomore
Nicole Mika (Staten Island, N.Y./Laurel Springs) and freshman
Katherine MacPhail (Park City, Utah/Judge Memorial Catholic), who each swept their matches at the third and sixth singles spots respectively, 6-0.

Lilia Rodriguez (Bayamon, Puerto Rico/Colegio Marista), would win in the first doubles slot 6-3, while MacPhail and fellow freshman
Alexa Orlando (Frederick, Md./Middletown) took the third doubles match, 6-1. Orlando gave up only one other game on the day as she took her fifth singles match, 6-1, 6-0.
Junior
Stephanie Gonzalez (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico/Academia Maria Reina) finished with the same score line at first singles, and freshman
Kacie Banks (Marietta, Ga./Marietta) rounded out the singles sweep with a 6-0, 6-2 win in the four spot. The pairing of Gonzalez and Banks would combine for a 6-0 shutout in second singles, completing an unbeaten day for the Blue and Gold.
New Haven improves to 5-3 overall on the year and will welcome Concordia College to town on Thursday, with first serve scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
