WEST HAVEN, Conn. - With access to campuses across the country limited due to Covid-19 precautions, the University of New Haven Department of Athletics turned to the world wide web for its latest open house. On Friday, April 3, the Chargers, in partnership with the Office of Admissions, hosted a virtual open house that welcomed more than 125 prospective students and their families to visit campus.

In a general session with all participants, the future members of Charger Nation had the opportunity to hear from Director of Athletics Sheahon Zenger as well as members of the Department of Athletics, Admissions and Campus Recreation. Following the general session, participants joined breakout rooms for one-on-one conversations with head coaches of the 17 varsity sports, esports, cheerleading and dance.

Individuals who were unable to attend the virtual open house, or who didn't have a chance to meet with a specific coach should reach out to Associate Director of Enrollment Operations Rob Holub (rholub@newhaven.edu) to set up an individual appointment. Additional virtual open house events will also be scheduled throughout the remainder of the spring.
