GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – The New Haven field hockey team saw its most recent win streak snapped on Saturday afternoon, dropping a 9-1 decision to No. 9 Adelphi on the road at Motamed Field. With the loss, the Chargers are now 8-6 on the season and 8-2 in the Northeast-10.
The Chargers lone goal of the afternoon came just before the end of the third quarter with Natalie Carter (Philadelphia, Pa./Saint Basil Academy) credited with her second goal of the season courtesy of an assist by senior Julia Battino (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial).
On the other end of the field, goalkeeper Keira Integlia (Branford, Conn./Branford) finished the afternoon with a career-high 17 saves, facing 33 total shots by the Panthers. New haven finished the game with four total shots, three of them marked on goal, while also trailing 17-3 in penalty corners.
New Haven will close out a two-game road trip with a midweek visit to Stoenhill on Wednesday, October 20. The NE10 battle is scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. start at W.B. Mason Stadium with all of the action available live on NE10 NOW.
