The University of New Haven Department of Athletics has announced an updated fan policy that will be in effect for the 2021 Spring season. With the primary goal of keep those within the University Community safe, UNH will not be allowing fans from outside of the campus community at any athletic event.
Any student, faculty or staff member attending an athletic contest must prove clearance in CoVerified upon arrival. Athletic facilities will be subject to State capacity limitations and spectators must abide University by masking and social distancing guidelines at all times.
This policy covers all Charger athletic facilities, including Kathy Zolad Stadium, Charger Gymnasium, DellaCamera Stadium, Vieira Field, the New Haven Softball Field and the New Haven Tennis Courts. THE POLICY INCLUDES NO TAILGATING IN THE PARKING LOTS DURING UNH HOME GAMES.
The Department of Athletics will continue to monitor conditions during the spring and update the policy should the health and safety of the campus community permit.
In order to provide every opportunity for families, fans and members of the UNH community to follow New Haven Athletics this spring, the Chargers will provide online streaming options for all games. Live video broadcasts will be made available to watch free of charge through the Charger Sports Network, which is also available on the NE10 NOW app that can be downloaded on Apple TV, Roku, Andriod TV and Amazon Fire TV. Direct links for individual team broadcasts will be provided on game days via UNH social media pages and NewHavenChargers.com.
