COMPLETE CoSIDA ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICA RELEASE
COMPLETE DIVISION II ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICA AT-LARGE TEAMS

WEST HAVEN, Conn. –
Majoring in engineering and operations management, graduate women's tennis player Ivana Andric (Griesheim, Germany) adds another academic honor to her repertoire, named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America At-Large Second Team, the second time she has earned an All-America accolade by the organization.

Andric, who transferred from New York Tech, was named to the Academic All-District I First Team earlier this summer and adds Second Team All-America honors with this latest announcement. Prior to transferring to New Haven, Andric also earned Academic All-America Second Team honors following her 2018-19 season with the Bears.

Andric is the first women's tennis player to earn Academic All-America distinction in the history of New Haven athletics, while she is 20th player to earn the national academic accolade in program history. The most recent to earn the honor for the Charges was baseball player Robert Petrillo in 2017 (third team).

Off the court, Andric sports a perfect 4.00 grade point average through her first two semesters at New Haven, earning Northeast-10 Academic Honor Roll and UNH Dean's List honors following each semester.

On the court, the native of Griesheim, Germany was named to the NE10 All-Conference Second Team at first singles, closing out her 13 matches with a 7-1 record at the top singles flight, while going unfinished in four matches. In addition, she added seven more victories in doubles play, all at the top doubles flight and all but once partnered with senior Stephanie Gonzalez (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico/Academia Maria Reina).

Highlighting her season record was her final six singles victories which came in six-consecutive matches and all were straight set decisions. Combined across singles and doubles, Andric earned at least one victory in all but two of the 13 matches during her first season with the Blue and Gold.

Overall, CoSIDA recognized 47 women's athletes across three teams in the At-Large category which covers 14 different sports, three of which are sponsored by New Haven; Field Hockey, Women's Tennis and Women's Lacrosse. Additionally, Andric is one of three players representing the Northeast-10 Conference with Adelphi's Alison Johnson (lacrosse) and Saint Rose's Colleen Quaglia (swimming) earning First Team honors.
