Under the lights at Kathy Zolad Stadium, the Chargers were unable to stop their NE10 rival on their offensive pursuit.
How it Happened
The Chargers grabbed a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute when forward, Dakota Cimetta (Coral Springs, Fla./J.P. Taravella) found the back of the net. However, SNHU's offense quickly retaliated by offering back-to-back goals before going into the half.
After the break, the Blue and Gold couldn't seem to find possession, leaving the ball between the toes of their opponent. In the 48th minute the Penmen found an opening in the net for the third time.
New Haven was outshot by their opponent 21-3. Their lone shot in the second half came from Gabriela Garcia-Perez (Guilford, Conn./Guilford). The Chargers limited ball control in the final minutes of play locked in the score 3-1.
