SCOUTING THE CHARGERS (3-1, 0-1 NE10)
The Chargers suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday, a 4-2 defeat to AIC. New Haven enters the matchup with the second most goals scored as a team (16) in the NE-10.

Leading the Charger's offense is freshman forward Pau Santanach (Barcelona, Spain/Collegi CreaNova) who tacked on another goal last Saturday for a total of six on the season. Santanach is currently tied for second in the conference in goals scored with Alvaro Ezpeleta (Vigo, Spain/Colegio Amor de Dios) trailing close behind with three.

Tiago Vintem (Lisbon, Portugal/E.S. Pedro Nunes) scored his second goal of the season, unassisted at the 8:52 mark. Juan Felipe Tobon (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) also saw his first assist of the year on Saturday.

Tano Desseno (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Saint Patrick College) is second in the conference in assists (3) and Alexander Gunnarsson (Kopavogur, Iceland/Verzlenarskoli Islands) is tied for third with two.

The Charger's freshman goalkeeper Themis Kastoris (Gothenburg, Sweden/Kitas Gymnasiet) tallied another six saves, all of which were in the second half. He now has 14 total saves on the young season.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS (1-3-1, 0-1 NE10)
The Panthers are looking to recreate the magic from their last full season, when they finished the 2019 season with a 15-3-1 record. Adelphi's start has been less than ideal as they've been outscored 8-12 on their way to a 1-3-1 record. Adelphi was ranked 2nd in the NE-10 Preseason Coaches's poll.

Adelphi enters the matchup with a 0-2 record on the road. The Panther's entered the season boosting an experienced roster composed of three freshmen, eight sophomores, 13 juniors, seven seniors and five graduate students.

Head coach Gary Book entered his fourth season with the Adelphi Panthers after being announced as the ninth head coach in program history. Book holds a 33-10-4 record (20-4-2 NE-10) with one NE-10 title and two NCAA appearances.

NEXT UP
New Haven will stay home as they host NE-10 Saint Anselm College on Saturday Sept. 25. Kickoff for that game is scheduled for 7:00 PM at Kathy Zolad Stadium.
