ALBANY, N.Y. – The New Haven women's soccer team concluded its 2022 Northeast-10 Conference slate on Saturday with a date against nationally ranked Saint Rose, dropping a 2-0 decision on the Golden Knights home field. With the loss, New Haven stands at 2-9-1 overall in their conference schedule.
Saint Rose put their first goal on the board in the first half, scoring in the 15th minute with Mia Klammer netting what would turn out to be the game-winning goal. She would also pick up the assist on the Golden Knights second goal of the afternoon which came off the foot of Lauren Amerena in the 61st minute.
The Chargers finished the day with four shots overall, placing three of them on goal which forced the Golden Knights keeper Pia Bozic to make a trio of saves. On the opposite side of the field, New Haven keeper Amanda McQuillan (Meath, Ireland/) finished the afternoon with five saves in her 90 minutes of work.
New Haven will close out the 2022 season on Wednesday evening when they welcome Queens College to Kathy Zolad Stadium for a non-conference game. The battle against the Knights is scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. start with all of the action available on the Charger Sports Network on NE10 NOW.
