FULL NORTHEAST-10 RELEASE

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Fresh off of going 6-0 over a three-match weekend, freshman Valentinna Ferrarini (Caxias do Sul, Brazil) has been tabbed the Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week as announced by the league on Tuesday.

Ferrarini earned a pair of victories, one in doubles and one in singles, each against Coppin State, Molloy and Saint Anselm.

Two of her three doubles wins came by way of a shutout, partnered with fellow freshman Lucia Placidi (Melbourne, Australia/Distance Education Centre Victoria) at the No. 2 doubles position. In singles play, she scored a 6-0, 6-0 shutout to open the week against Coppin State at No. 2 singles, while her remaining two singles victories came in the No. 1 position.

Ferrarini and the Chargers return to action on Tuesday afternoon with a date against the Southern New Hampshire Penment in Manchester. N.H. First serve against the Penmen is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
