Dolphins Spoil Home Game for Chargers in 18-6 Decision

WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The No. 12/8 Le Moyne Dolphins scored the first three goals of the afternoon in the first seven minutes of action and never looked back as they took an 18-6 decision over New Haven in Northeast-10 Conference action. With the loss, New Haven falls to 4-4 on the season and 2-2 in the NE10.

New Haven's six goals in the game came from five different players with the only Charger to finish with a multi-goal game graduate transfer Savannah Ernst (American Fork, Utah/American Fork) who finished with a pair. Sophomore Raegan Bailey (Cheshire, Conn./Cheshire) led all Chargers in the game with three points as she added a goal and two assists on the afternoon.

Rounding out the Chargers goal scorers was sophomore Gianna Capriolli and freshmen Summer Castiglione (Brick, N.J./Brick Memorial) and Marielle Colalillo (Manhasset, N.Y./Manhasset). Overall, New Haven finished with 15 total shots, 11 of which were marked on goal with the Le Moyne goalie making five saves. New Haven goalkeeper Gabby Buscemi (East Patchogue, N.Y./Patchogue-Medford) finished with two saves.

The Chargers will enjoy a weekend without a game before heading on the road for their next game as they travel to Pleasantville, N.Y. to take on the Pace Setters on Tuesday, April 4. The NE10 game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. opening draw, the fourth time this season New Haven will play under the lights.
