West Haven, C.T- Coming off a record-breaking win against Wilmington the Chargers looked to continue their momentum against Stonehill. The Chargers fell short and dropped a 4-1 decision yesterday afternoon. Overall, the Chargers fall to 13-8 on the year, 6-3 in Northeast-10 conference play heading into the final match of the spring season on Tuesday.
New Haven opened the match with some good sets during the doubles matches but came up short and lost the doubles point. Going into the singles matches, the Chargers would come up with one win on the afternoon from Katherine MacPhail (Park City, Utah/Judge Memorial Catholic) in a three-set win. Stonehill would grab the rest of the wins in the singles matches.
