Lacrosse Drops Road Game at Saint Anselm 15-13

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Playing its third straight ranked opponent, the New Haven women's lacrosse team dropped a 15-13 decision on the road at No. 17/20 Saint Anselm on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, New Haven falls to 9-6 on the season and 6-5 in the Northeast-10 Conference.

Leading the Chargers offense on the day was the senior attack of Cameryn Antler (Hebron, Conn./Mercy) who finished with five goals, one of two players to rack up a hat trick on the afternoon, joined by freshman Marielle Colalillo (Manhasset, N.Y./Manhasset) who dropped in four goals. Two of Antler's five goals came on free position attempts, going perfect in that category.

Also adding a multi-goal afternoon was graduate attack Savannah Ernst (American Fork, Utah/American Fork) who finished with a pair of goals, while Raegan Bailey (Cheshire, Conn./Cheshire) and Gianna Caprioli (Clinton Corners, N.Y./Franklin Delano Roosevelt) added the only other goals for the Blue and Gold. Bailey's goal was part of a team-high six points as she contributed a season-best five assists on the afternoon. Caprioli also led New Haven with six draw controls.

Defensively, junior goalkeeper Gabby Buscemi (East Patchogue, N.Y./Patchogue-Medford) continued her streak of double digit save games, collecting 10 total on the day, facing 31 total shots in the game. On the opposite end, Hawks goalkeeper Elizabeth Driscoll finished with 13 saves.

New Haven will return home for its final two regular season games, beginning with a visit from the Saint Michael's Purple Knights on Wednesday, April 26 with opening draw in the NE10 battle set for 3:00 p.m.
