Chargers fall to Penmen in Conference Battle

MANCHESTER, N.H – Back on the road the University of New Haven Women's Soccer traveled up to Manchester to take on the Penmen of Southern New Hampshire in a key conference match as they looked to pick up points for the postseason.

New Haven's defense was put to the test early in the first half as Caitlin Daley (Norwich, Conn./Norwich Free Academy) and the back line were pressured early and often as Daley made three saves in the first half and denied four corners by the Penmen. Going into the half things were level 0-0 as New Haven looked to make a push late. It was the Penmen however that broke through scoring a pair of goals as New Haven would fall 2-0. Daley would finish with nine saves six of which came in the second half.

New Haven Continues on the road for a non-conference match up when they travel to New York to take on the Lions of Molloy on Wednesday, October 30 with kickoff scheduled for 7:00pm. All updates, schedules, and post-match recaps for the team will be available at Newhavenchargers.com.
