WEST HAVEN, Conn. –
With under 90 seconds to play, freshman David Huang (China/Nobel British International School) broke a scoreless draw to return the Chargers to the win column and even the Blue and Gold's record in Northeast-10 Conference play to 2-2 (5-3-1 overall) with a 1-0 win over the visiting Bentley Falcons.

With a midfield defensive takeaway, the Chargers pushed forward fast to score the long goal of the night. The outlet pass went across the pitch to the near side where Porqueras collected and dribbled forward to just outside the 18-yard box. Porqueras drilled a cross to opposite side of the eight-yard box where Huang used a one-timer to beat the keeper to the opposite corner of the net.

The goal for Huang is his second of season, tying him with four other players for the team lead, while the assist for Porqueras is his first of the season, adding that to one goal.

Overall for the game, Bentley held a 14-12 advantage in the shot column, placing four of those on goal which goalkeeper Archie Watts (Bristol, England/SGS College) stopped for four saves. Of the 12 shots for New Haven, three additional were marked on goal.

New Haven will stay at home for its next game, with a visit from the American International Yellow Jackets next on the docket on Tuesday, October 8. Opening kickoff in the Northeast-10 Conference game is set for 7:00 p.m. at Kathy Zolad Stadium.
