On Sunday, March 3rd, 2024, The New Haven Junior Varsity Overwatch won their first game, and it certainly will not be their last.

They took on Nazareth University in the National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC) league.

Our team consists of: Daniel "SlasherX47" Novak, on tank. Team Captain Talon "Jolli" Wilterdink and Dyllan "rogueslayer" Bryans as DPS. Kayla "KaKeKoo" Sherrod and Brianna "Phantomhive" Jones as the supports.

Daniel played as D.Va and Orisa. Talon used Genji and Tracer. Dyllan used Echo and Sojourn. Kayla was using Moira and Baptiste, and Brianna played Lucio. 

Unfortunately, things were looking a little rough for the Chargers in some previous games. While able to secure some matches throughout the season, JV Overwatch had not managed to take home a total victory quite yet.

Nevertheless, each and every match they showed their resilience and willingness to learn. Every loss fully utilized as an opportunity to grow, and the Chargers continuously showed promise and improvement in their games. With the team getting sharper in every play, an underdog story was sure to be born.

Eager to showcase all the hard work they've been putting in, the Chargers brought out their A-game and were a dominant force in every game.

The first game was played on Nepal, resulting in a 3-0 match. Game two was 2-1 on Dorado, being the only round that New Haven dropped throughout every match. And finally, they took the victory home with another impressive 3-0 on Suravasa.

JV Overwatch has their next game on March 7th, so very soon we'll get to see what they're made of again. Good luck Chargers!
