Graduate attack Cameryn Antler (Hebron, Conn./Mercy) opened up the scoring for New Haven with the first goal of the game coming just shy of five minutes into the rain-soaked action. She added one more before the end of the first period and closed out the game with three total.
Rounding out the three Chargers with multiple goals in the contest was senior midfielder Ivanna Hernandez (Bay Shore, N.Y./Brentwood) who finished with two goals and two assists to match Antler in the points column with four total. Antler added an assist to her tally.
Sophomore attack Caitlyn Seleny and sophomore midfielder Summer Castiglione (Brick, N.J./Brick Memorial) capped off the Chargers in the scoring column each with a single score, while Castiglione added an assist for two points.
Between the pipes it was the senior leadership of Gabby Buscemi (East Patchogue, N.Y./Patchogue-Medford) who played the full 60 minutes in goal and finished the game with seven saves and a .583 save percentage. On the other end of the field, the Chargers peppered the SCSU keeper with 30 total shots on the afternoon as the Owls Caelan Conners finished with eight saves.
