MANSFIELD, MASS.—Following another successful fall in the class that saw 99 student-athletes earn Northeast-10 Academic Honor Roll accolades, seven New Haven student-athletes were named to the NE10's Academic All-Conference teams representing the eight fall sports, as announced by the league office.
 
Overall, the Northeast-10 Conference honored student athletes across the eight sports, with New Haven's 11 honorees representing five of the eight sports. Football's Joe Vitale (North Haven, Conn./North Haven) highlights the group as one of the 11 total football players honored by the conference. One other New Haven team had a trio of Chargers represented, as Kelli Jacobson (North Branford, Conn./North Branford), Abby Nixon (Wrentham, Mass./King Phillip Regional) and Erin Smith (Warrington, P.A./Central Bucks South) each earned the distinction as part of 23 total field hockey players on the list.

The remaining honors for the Chargers were spread across multiple teams: James Comisky (Milford, Mass./Milford) represented men's cross country, Elsie Kaas (Elverson, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) and April Mauceri (Londonderry, N.H./Londonderry) represented women's cross country, Caitlin Daley (Norwich, Conn./Norwich Free Academy) represented women's soccer, and Grace Juergens (Lockport, Ill./Lockport Township) represented women's volleyball.

Additionally, two members of the men's soccer team, Oskar Kvarnback (Stockholm, Sweden/Bromma Gymnasium) and Saar Almoznino (Jerusalem, Israel/Hebrew Gymnasium), were also honored by the NE10 for their academic and athletic excellence.

All combined, the represented teams finished the fall season with a combined 42 wins, with football, women's volleyball and men's soccer each advancing to their respective NCAA Division II East Regional Championship.

To be eligible for Academic All-Conference distinction, a student-athlete must have started in at least half or played in at least two-thirds of the team's competitions as a significant contributor. In addition, all nominees must have achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average or better on a 4.0 scale. Each NE10 institution had at least two student-athletes named to Academic All-Conference teams from this past fall.
