WEST HAVEN, Conn. – New Haven Women's Soccer honored their seniors on Sunday Afternoon in a match against the Delaware State Hornets. The Chargers fell to the Hornets 2-1.
The Chargers recognized the class of 2026, which included
Selma Fiorentini (Rome/Italy),
Esthefany Aguilar (Bogota, Colombia),
Agustina Berra (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Instituto Madre Cabrini),
Antonia Henao (Caldas, Colombia/Aspaen Los Cerezos),
Riley Drosopoulos (Marshfield, Mass./Marshfield),
Caitlyn Toom (Milford, N.H./Brewster Academy),
Caroline Ennis (Hamden, Conn./Hamden), and
Caitlin Daley (Norwich, Conn./Norwich Free Academy).
The Hornets scored both their goals in the first half of the match, with a goal around four minutes and 29 minutes. The Chargers responded with a goal in the second half, from Caleigh Winter, but could not tie the match.
Caitlin Daley (Norwich, Conn./Norwich Free Academy) played the full 90 minutes and had 17 saves.
The Chargers are heading to DC to face the Howard Bison on October 16
th, at 1:00 p.m.
