WEST HAVEN, Conn. – New Haven Women's Soccer hosted a home match on Thursday afternoon against Saint Francis University, where it tied the match 1-1.
The Red Flash were able to come out strong and scored in the first 21 minutes of the half. The Chargers were able to get off 3 shots, but all unsuccessful. In the second half, the Chargers pulled through and put one in the back of the net.
Emma Mitchell (Edinburgh, Scotland/Liberton) scored the goal, with the assist from
Janayah Body (West Hartford, Conn./Lawrence Academy), off a corner kick, 81 minutes into the match.
Caitlin Daley (Norwich, Conn./Norwich Free Academy) stood strong in the net with 10 saves and playing all 90 minutes. New Haven took a total of 17 shots, with 3 being on goal.
The Chargers are back on the road on Oct. 9
th at 11:00 a.m. to face the LIU Sharks.
