BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – New Haven Women's Soccer headed to New York to face the LIU Sharks on Thursday afternoon, where it lost 2-1 in the match.
The Sharks came out strong, scoring in the first seven minutes of the match. The Chargers responded back with a goal from
Kelsey Landers (Glastonbury, Conn./), her first of the season. In the second half the Sharks put up a goal, making the score 2-1, and the Chargers could not respond.
Caitlin Daley (Norwich, Conn./Norwich Free Academy) had five saves and played all 90 minutes of the match.
The Chargers are back at home on Sunday, Oct. 12
th, at 1:00 p.m. for Senior Day, versus Delaware State University.
