Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Hogan Posts 27-Point, 16-Rebound Double Double in Win

WEST HAVEN, Conn. – New Haven Women's Basketball picked up an 87-28 win over Bard College. Lindsay Hogan's (Bayville, N.Y./Locust Valley) 27-point, 16-rebound double double led the Chargers to victory.

New Haven's 68-34 advantage on the glass was one of the many factors that allowed it to earn the win. The Chargers pulled down more offensive rebounds (35) than the Raptors did total rebounds, allowing them to hold a 29-3 second-chance points edge.

Defensively, New Haven forced 26 turnovers and opened up a 34-2 advantage in points off turnovers. Seven steals from Aniya McDonald-Perry (Middletown, Conn./Putnam Science Academy) highlighted the Chargers defensive prowess in the contest.

McDonald-Perry's 11 points finished second on the team, behind Hogan's 27. Addisen Sulikowski (Saco, ME/Thornton Academy) was the only other Charger to finish in double figures with 10 and six rebounds.

Head Coach Debbie Buff said, "Great team win. Everyone contributed. We really shared the ball. Lindsay Hogan (Bayville, N.Y./Locust Valley) was big tonight with 27 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists, and two steals. Aniya was stellar on defense. Sam Battle had her first collegiate three. We had 26 assists to seven turnovers."

New Haven will face the Stags of Fairfield University on the road on Tuesday, Nov. 25. Opening tip from Fairfield will come at 11:00 a.m.
