NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – New Haven Volleyball played their final match of the 2025 season on Saturday night, where it fell short 3-0 to the CCSU Blue Devils.
 
In its second match against Central Connecticut, New Haven tried to fight back after its fifth-set loss in the previous match. New Haven came close in the first set but lost 25-23. The Blue Devils came out hot in the second set, defeating the Chargers 25-15. The Chargers tried to fight back in the third set but lost 26-24.
 
Lauren MacKellar (Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich./Northville) played tough with eight kills, four digs, and two blocks. Kole Fluckiger (Chadler, AZ) and Kassadi Avent (Woolwich, NJ) both had six kills apiece. Juli De Acharan (Sevilla, Spain/IES Nestor Almendros) contributed 24 assists.
 
Payton Malinoski (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) anchored the back row with 11 digs, and Evelyn Kay Girard (Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich Academy) had four digs.
