WEST HAVEN, Conn. – New Haven Women's Basketball hosted Big East foe St. John's University on Wednesday night, its final home non-conference game of the season. The Red Storm came away with a 67-47 win.
New Haven started slow and never recovered during the first half. Facing a 37-14 deficit after the opening 20 minutes, New Haven would bounce back to outscore the Red Storm in the second half, 33-30.
Addisen Sulikowski (Saco, ME/Thornton Academy) finished with a team-high 14 points, while
Aniya McDonald-Perry (Middletown, Conn./Putnam Science Academy) saw her double-double streak end following her 11-point, nine-rebound effort. The forward also dished out a team-high four helpers.
New Haven scored more points off turnovers than the Red Storm, 15-10, but was outgained in second-chance points, 15-8, and in points off the bench, 28-6.
"I told them during prep that after the game I was going to ask them three questions. Did they play with energy, play together, and follow the gameplan. We accomplished all three. Proud of the entire team against a Big East team," Head Coach

New Haven will travel to New Hampshire on Sunday, Dec. 28. Opening tip from Durham, N.H. is set for 1:00 p.m.
