Chargers Sweep First Home Series of The Season

West Haven, Conn.- After taking four out five down in Florida, The Chargers return back to Frank Vieira Field to keep their winning streak alive. The Blue and Gold did just that having a weekend sweep against Saint Thomas Aquinas. The University of New Haven baseball team improves to 10-3 on the season.
 
On the weekend the Chargers got it done on the bump allowing only 4 runs. The 10 Chargers pitchers who stepped on the mound combine for 40 strikeouts and only gave up nine hits to the Spartans. Pitching help the Chargers extend their win streak to eight.
 
The Chargers kept their hot bats from Florida. On the weekend the Chargers scored 21 runs over the four-game series. Seeing two big flies from infielder Matt McIntire (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) and outfielder Robert Taylor (Wolcott, Conn./The Gunnery). The Blue and Gold saw two walk offs both coming from Joseph Frazzetta (Howard Beach, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy) Saturday he drew the walk off walk and in the Sunday finale Frazzetta hit single to left to see his second dog pile of the weekend.
 
Up next for the Chargers is a conference game as they welcome the Greyhounds of Assumption University schedule for a 3:30 pm start.
