The New Haven Chargers dominated Assumption with a commanding 17-7 victory, improving to 7-3 overall and 4-0 in conference play. The Chargers controlled the pace from the start, outshooting Assumption 37-23 and securing 16 draw controls compared to Assumption's 12. The game featured a balanced offensive attack, with Gianna Caprioli (Clinton Corners, N.Y./Franklin Delano Roosevelt) leading the charge with 4 goals and 1 assist, while Katie Schenk (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug/Endicott) also contributed 4 goals. Summer Castiglione (Brick, N.J./Brick Memorial) and Lucy Shafer (Haymarket, Va./Battfield) each tallied 2 goals, and Helena Dunwoody (East Greenwich, R.I./East Greenwich) added 2 as well.

Defensively, New Haven's goalkeepers were solid, with Madeline Sage (Manchester, N.H./Goffstown High School) making 8 saves, and Caroline D'Angelo (Danbury, Conn./Danbury) giving up no goals. The Greyhounds found themselves unable to break New Haven's defensive pressure, and the Chargers took control in the second quarter, scoring 6 unanswered goals to extend their lead. New Haven's offense remained relentless, putting the game out of reach by the fourth quarter.

New Haven's all-around effort, including a flawless performance on the draw circle and strong ground ball play, secured them the comfortable win on the road.
