WEST HAVEN, Conn. – New Haven Field Hockey took a 9-0 loss at Maine University on Sunday afternoon.

Freshman Anne Marie Martin (Louisville, Ky.) finished with 11 saves on 20 shots, bringing her weekly saves total to 27 after a 16-save collegiate debut.

The Blue & Gold played well defensively in the third quarter, holding the Riverhawks to a lone goal.

New Haven is back in action on Friday, Sept. 19, in Lowell, Mass,. as it visits UMass Lowell. Game time for Riverhawks against Chargers is set for 7:00 p.m.
