LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – New Haven Field Hockey traveled south to New Jersey for a Friday afternoon matchup with the Broncs from Rider University. The Blue & Gold played a close match, ultimately falling 4-0.
A goal in each of the first two quarters before a pair in the fourth was all the scoring Rider needed en route to its win.
Eliza Caven (Caledon, Ontario/Humberview Secondary) fired New Haven's only shot on goal in the match.
Brynna Courneen (South Dartmouth, Mass./Oliver Ames / Portsmouth Abbey) also finished with one shot.
Rae Kline (Brookline, N.H./Hollis Brookline) finished with eight saves, a new career high.
New Haven is back in action on Friday, Oct. 3, at Merrimack. Game time is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
