NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – New Haven Women's Soccer headed across the state for a road match on Sunday afternoon against the CCSU Blue Devils. The Chargers put up a fight but fell short 1-0.
The Chargers came out strong, taking the first two shots in the first eight and a half minutes of the half, but the Blue Devils were able to convert one around 28 minutes into the match, making it 1-0. The second half was scoreless. New Haven took 11 shots on the afternoon, with a shot on goal from

Caitlyn Toom (Milford, N.H./Brewster Academy),
Janayah Body (West Hartford, Conn./Lawrence Academy),
Lola Wood (Auckland, New Zealand/Diocesan School), and
Layla Coppola (Woodbury, Conn./Nonnewaug).
Caitlin Daley (Norwich, Conn./Norwich Free Academy) held strong in the net with eight saves and playing all 90 minutes.
The Chargers play back at home on Thursday, Oct. 2
nd at 4:00 p.m., where they will face Saint Francis University.
