SYRACUSE, N.Y. – New Haven Men's Basketball played the final leg of its seven-game road trip on Thursday night, visiting Le Moyne College. The Dolphins topped New Haven, 73-47.
Andre Pasha (Syracuse, N.Y./Syracuse Academy of Science), returning to his hometown of Syracuse, paced the Blue & Gold with 10 points and pulled down four rebounds, tying him for second on the team with
Teshaun Steele (Worcester, Mass./Darrow School), and
Stefano Faloppa (Portogruaro, Italy/Holy Cross Prep).
Jabri Fitzpatrick (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick) led the Chargers in rebounding by grabbing eight boards. Fitzpatrick and Faloppa dished out a team-high three assists each.
New Haven suffered from a poor night shooting. From the floor, it converted at a 34.0% (16-47) clip, including just 27.3% (6-22) from distance. To add to its struggles, New Haven only capitalized on nine of 22 (47.4%) free-throw attempts.
Le Moyne held the advantage over New Haven in points off turnovers (16-7), bench points (29-22), points in the paint (36-20), and fast-break points (11-4).
New Haven will return to The Hazell Center on Saturday, Jan. 10, for the first time since Sunday, Nov. 30, when it beat Mitchell College 92-69. It will host the FDU Knights, with opening tipoff coming at 1:00 p.m.
