PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. – New Haven Women's Golf traveled down south, avoiding the snow, to participate in the Battle at the Beach, hosted by Stonehill College. The Blue & Gold began the spring schedule with a top-10 finish in the event.

Individually, Ella Hammond-Baveystock (Crowthorne, United Kingdom/Wellington College) and Gabriela Aya (Bogota, Colombia/Colegio Anglo Colobiano) tied for 31st overall. Hammond-Baveystock's two-round total of 164 was made up of a 77 on Saturday and 87 on Sunday. Aya improved on an 83 Saturday to an 81 Sunday.

Erin Earl (London, England/Saffron Walden County Day) finished tied for 49th with a total of 171, following rounds of 88 and 83. Her placement gave New Haven three top-50 finishers, tied with three other schools.

Up next, New Haven will be back in the south on Mar. 16 and 17, as it will compete in the Magnolia Collegiate, hosted by the University of South Alabama.
