West Haven, Conn. – New Haven Track & Field saw nine of its track and field athletes named to the NEC All-Conference Teams, highlighting their exceptional performances in the recent season.
The All-Conference honors include three First Team selections.
Jimmy Oreste (Jamaica, N.Y./) earned a spot on the First Team for his outstanding performance in the Weight Throw.
Jada Kamtha (St. Catherine, Jamaica/Wolmer's Trust High School for Girls) was recognized for her prowess in the 60m Hurdles, while
Gabrielle Teel (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Moreland) secured her place on the First Team in the Triple Jump event.
On the Second Team,
Cole Parker (Severn, Md.) was acknowledged for his achievements in the Long Jump, and
Matthew Steele (North Kingstown, R.I./Bishop Hendricken) received honors for his performance in the Triple Jump.
Additionally, three athletes were named to the All-Rookie Team, showcasing the promising future of New Haven's track and field.
Jhelani Anderson (Bronx, N.Y./DeWitt Clinton) was recognized in the 60m,
Noah Cooper (Hopatchong, N.J./Union Catholic) in the Triple Jump, and
Aiden Watson () for the Weight Throw.
Madeline Klecha (Wyckoff, N.J./Ramapo) also earned All-Rookie honors for her efforts in both the 60m and 200m events.
New Haven continues its outdoor season on Friday, April 3, as it travels to Hartford to compete in the Rage in the Cage Invitational.
