WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The NEC released its weekly award winners on Tuesday afternoon, featuring New Haven Softball's Katie Rhodes (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) earning Pitcher of the Week honors.

For the week, Rhodes appeared in three games, totaling 17.0 innings and only allowing three earned runs. On Tuesday afternoon, she took the circle for three innings against Yale, allowing two runs.

Over the weekend, Rhodes was masterful against Mercyhurst, throwing a complete game shutout on Saturday, Apr. 18, only allowing six hits and walking one. She continued to shut down the Lakers two days later, as she twirled another seven-inning masterpiece, allowing one run and striking out three.

New Haven is back in action on Wednesday, Apr. 22, at 5:00 p.m. at Yale University.
