Matt Untiet joined the UNH coaching staff as a graduate assistant in prior to last season. A native of Berlin, Connecticut, Untiet most recently was a student assistant at the University of Connecticut.
Add UNH, Untiet coaches hitting and first basemen. Last season the Chargers boasted a .273 team batting average, while the Chargers starting first baseman, Cory Carr tallied 343 total putouts and only four errors.
Untiet earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Connecticut and graduate in 2008. He’s currently persuing a Master’s Degree in Management of Sport Industries at UNH.
While at Connecticut, Untiet played four seasons for the Huskies at first base and third base. He’s the Huskies all time putout leader with 1,250 and totaled over 100 RBI in his four years.
