WEST HAVEN, Conn. - The University of New Haven baseball team is headed to Rindge, N.H. and Franklin Pierce University for the 2010 Northeast-10 Conference Championship this weekend. The Chargers earned the third seed with an 18-8 conference record and take on Stonehill College in the opening round of the six-team double elimination tournament.
New Haven will face off against the Skyhawks on Thursday, May 6 at Dr. Arthur and Martha Pappas Field. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. under the lights. Stonehill took both of the regular season games from the Chargers on Sunday, May 2.
All games of the Championship will be broadcast by Franklin Pierce through WFPC-LP 105.3 FM and streamed online at
http://athletics.franklinpierce.edu.
Tickets will be charged for each day of the tournament and will be $5 for adults, $3 for seniors/children and $1 for students with a valid college ID.
