Senior offensive lineman
Zach Guy (Rochester, N.Y./Aquinas) of the University of New Haven football team has been named a Preseason All-America Honorable Mention by the Collegiate Development Football League (CDFL). Guy was a Second Team All-Northeast-10 honoree for the Chargers last fall.

With Guy starting at multiple positions in the trenches throughout New Haven's 8-3 campaign in 2013, the Charger offensive line helped to engineer the highest-scoring offense in Northeast-10 with 40.6 points per game and the second-most prolific attack in terms of yardage with 467.9 yards per contest. New Haven also ranked second in rushing with 209.7 yards on the ground per game.

The 2014 CDFL Preseason All-Americans are considered the watch list for selection to the annual "D2 vs. NAIA Challenge" to be held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on Dec. 20, 2014 as well as for the team that will represent the United States in scheduled 2015 International Bowl Games.
