WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Football teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

To qualify, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. Off the field, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).

New Haven Football's AJ Duffy (St. Augustine, Fla./Rancho Verde), Joe Fragale (Succasunna, N.J./Roxbury), Brian Hannibal (Silver Spring, Md./James Hubert Blake), and Peter Melle were named to the CSC Academic All-District Team.

Duffy, a junior quarterback from St. Augustine, Fla., threw for 2,399 yards and 22 touchdowns in his first season wearing the Blue & Gold. On the ground, Duffy amassed 218 yards and four scores on 44 carries. Duffy contributed 2,617 total yards of offense and 26 touchdowns to the NEC's second-highest scoring offense. Individually, Duffy ranked third in the NEC in passing yards, finishing just 13 shy of second place, despite playing in two fewer games. He also ranked third in passing touchdowns.

Fragale, a junior punter, was called upon 41 times during the season, totaling 1,446of punt yardage. Included in those punts are 17 fair catches, eight inside the 20-yard line, and a pair of 50-yarders.

Hannibal, a senior offensive lineman, started in all 10 games for the Blue & Gold in 2025. The force up front played a total of 525 snaps for the Chargers.

Melle, a senior defensive lineman, played in nine games in 2025. The Dallas, Tx. native totaled 23 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, got to the quarterback for two sacks, deflected one pass, and forced one fumble.
