OPENING TIP
A battle of the Chargers will take place on Thursday night as New Haven will take on Dominican in Orangeburg, New York in a non-conference showdown.
INSIDE THE SERIES
- New Haven is 5-1 all-time against Dominican and has won the last three matchups in a row, including last year's 76-67 win in West Haven.
- Thursday's clash will be just the third in Orangeburg, where New Haven is 2-0.
SCOUTING NEW HAVEN
- The Chargers have won four games in a row to start off the season 8-1 overall and 4-1 in Northeast-10 play. After starting the season with six of their first seven at home, the Blue and Gold are in the midst of playing six out of seven games on the road.
- New Haven's defense has been a dominating force to start the season, holding opponents to 51.1 points per game. New Haven is also leading the NE10 in field goal percentage defense (.326) and is fifth in 3pt FG% defense at 28.0 percent.
- Offensively, the Chargers have jumped up to 11th in the NE10 with 59.6 points per game. The Chargers are sixth in the conference by shooting 42.2 percent overall and are shooting 28.2 percent from the arc, which sits 12th in the NE10.
- Senior
Micah Wormack (Cumberland, Md./Allegany) leads the team in both scoring (14.0 ppg) and rebounding (7.6 rpg). She has scored at least 15 points in three straight games, including a season-high 27 points at American International on Dec. 10. She had a season-high 14-rebound, five-block performance on Nov. 23 against Le Moyne. She has 12+ rebounds on two occasions this season.
- Freshman
Aurora Deshaies (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Ludden) leads the NE10 in field goal percentage at 60.3 percent (47-for-78). She is second on the team with 11.7 points per game and is tied for second with 6.1 rebounds per game.
- Sophomore
Camryn DeBose (Wellington, Fla./Wellington Community) is the third Charger scoring in double figures this season with an even 10.0 ppg. She has scored at least 13 points per game in each of the last three games and has 5.4 rebounds per game this season.

Brie Pergola (Torrington, Conn./Torrington) is tied for second in the NE10 with a 43.8 3FG percentage. She also averages 3.6 assists per game, tied for 10th in the NE10. She has jumped her scoring average up to 9.1 points per game.
- Redshirt sophomore point guard
Luzdali Ocasio (Davenport, Fla./New Hampton) is tied for fourth in the NE10 with 4.6 assists per game. She had a career-high 10 assists at Chestnut Hill on December 11.
SCOUTING DOMINICAN
- Dominican (4-6, 2-1 CAAC) enters Thursday's matchup having dropped each of their last two games, including a 75-56 decision to Pace on Sunday.
- Dominican is 1-3 against the NE10 this season, having beaten Saint Rose 64-53 at home, and also had a good battle with nationally ranked, undefeated Adelphi before falling 70-62.
- The Chargers are averaging 64.8 points per game while surrendering 67.0.
- Shooting 41.2 percent overall and 24.4 percent from three-point range, Dominican is led by senior forward Jasmine Gee at 13.8 ppg, sophomore forward Taylor Tomlinson (9.2 ppg) and junior forward Korina Guerra (9.0 ppg).
- Junior guard Samantha McClutchy is shooting a team-best 55.2 percent from the floor while scoring 7.6 points per game.
- Gee (6.7 rpg) and McClutchy (5.8 rpg) are the Chargers' top rebounders and Gee holds 1.3 blocks per game.

TIS' THE SEASON OF GIVING
New Haven dished out 22 assists at Chestnut Hill on December 11. It was the most assists by the Chargers since they had 20 against Southern Connecticut on February 4, 2014.
OCASIO'S HELPING HAND
Luzdai Ocasio had a career-high 10 assists at Chestnut Hill on December 11, the first Charger to have at least 10 assists in a game since Helin Marte had 10 against Adelphi on December 8, 2009.
She is averaging 8.0 assists over the last two games.
LATE HEROICS
Micah Wormack's (Cumberland, Md./Allegany) jumper with 1.4 seconds left to beat Chestnut Hill was New Haven's first game-winning shot in the final 10 seconds in nearly two years - 1/3/18 vs. Saint Anselm.
DEBOSE HEATING UP
- Sophomore
Camryn DeBose (Wellington, Fla./Wellington Community) shot 12-for-30 in two games last week, scoring 17 points at AIC and 18 at Chestnut Hill, her two highest scoring outputs this season. She also tied her career-high with five three-pointers at Chestnut Hill.
HOLIDAY COOKING
New Haven shot 52.0 percent (26-for-50) at American International on December 10, their best shooting night of the season. They also hit a season-high nine three-pointers.
