New Haven is one of six Northeast-10 teams represented in top-10 in the region, with five of those teams among the top-six in the rankings. Following Saint Anselm in the top spot is the Daemen Wildcats, representing the CACC, who sport an overall record of 21-3 and an in-region record of 19-2. Merrimack and Le Moyne round out the top-five teams in the rankings, while Bentley (sixth) and Adelphi (eighth) are the final two NE10 teams represented.

The regional rankings help to determine the eight teams that will make up the East Region bracket for the NCAA Division II Championship. The top seed in region will host the four-day event which is slated to begin on March 15. Last season, Le Moyne was the top seed and won the East Region Championship, advancing to the NCAA Final Eight.

The Chargers return to action on Saturday, February 23 when they travel north on Interstate 91 to take on the American International Yellow Jackets in a NE10 Southwest division battle. Opening tip from Butova Gymnasium in Springfield, Mass. is slated for 3:30 p.m. following the women's game.
