WEST HAVEN, Conn. – One day after earning Northeast-10 Player of the Week honors for the second time this year, Mackenzie Reh (Medford, N.Y./Patchogue Medford) has been named the IWLCA Division II National Offensive Player of the Week, also for the second time this season.
In a 1-1 week for the Chargers, Reh led the team with 14 points from 12 goals and two assists. She also collected nine draw controls over the two games.
On Wednesday against No. 2 Adelphi, Reh led the team with her fifth hat trick of the season. She also had four of the team's six draw controls and picked up two ground balls against the Panthers.
Against then No. 16 Merrimack on Saturday, Reh tied her career-high and program record of nine goals, which she set earlier this season. She had two assists to finish with 11 points against the Warriors, also tying the program record for points in a game. She had five draw controls on Saturday against Merrimack.
Reh leads the team and the conference with 41 goals and 53 points. She is first in the nation in goals per game with 5.86 and points per game with 7.57. Her 41 goals this season has her tied for seventh in the nation in goals. This is the fourth time in her career Reh has earned this honor.
No. 16/18 New Haven takes on defending NE10 and National Champions No. 1 Le Moyne today, March 27 at Kathy Zolad Stadium. Game time against the Dolphins is set for 4:00 pm.
