WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The University of New Haven women's lacrosse team was well represented as the Northeast Conference announced its annual postseason awards, with three Chargers earning All-Conference Second Team honors and one named to the All-Rookie Team following the 2026 season.
Senior attacker Caitlin Seleny (Derry, N.H./Pinkerton), senior midfielder Summer Castiglione (Brick, N.J./Brick Memorial), and sophomore defender Karlie Maye (New City, N.Y./Clarkstown South) were each named to the All-NEC Second Team after standout performances throughout the year, while freshman goalkeeper Ainsley Bourbeau (Willington, Conn./E.O. Smith) earned a spot on the NEC All-Rookie Team.
Seleny started all 14 games for the Chargers and led the team offensively with 75 points, scoring 22 goals while dishing out a season-record of 53 assists. She also contributed 29 draw controls, 13 ground balls, and nine caused turnovers, showcasing her all-around impact.
Castiglione was a dominant force in the midfield, starting all 14 games while finishing with 31 points on 17 goals and 14 assists. She also had 43 draw controls and added 23 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers.
Maye continued to anchor the Chargers' defense in her sophomore campaign, appearing in 13 games. She led the team with 17 caused turnovers while also adding 23 ground balls.
In goal, Bourbeau made an immediate impact in her first collegiate season, appearing in 13 games and logging 642 minutes between the pipes. She finished with 107 saves and a .440 save percentage to earn recognition as one of the NEC's top rookies.
The quartet's recognition highlights the continued growth of the Chargers program as it builds momentum competing at the Division I level in the NEC.
