MANSFIELD, MASS.- For the second week in a row and second time in her career, Gianna Guerra (Stony Point, N.Y./North Rockland) has been named the Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week.
It was another 2-0 week for Guerra who picked up her eighth and ninth wins of the season. Over the course of the two games, she had 23 saves, while only allowing 10 goals. She had a .697 save percentage and a 5.73 goals against average. In the 12-5 win over Southern New Hampshire, she finished the game with 15 saves and only allowed five goals. Against Saint Michael's, she had eight saves in 45 minutes of game time. For the second game in a row, she only gave up five goals.
Guerra is currently second in the conference with a .560 save percentage and third in the conference with 135 saves. Her .560 save percentage is second best in the nation.
Mackenzie Reh (Medford, N.Y./Patchogue Medford) and Kendra Nolan (Oak Ridge, N.J./Jefferson Township) were both named to the Honor Roll, also for the second week in a row. Reh led the team in scoring with 11 goals this week for 11 points, while picking up five draw controls. She was also 5 for 6 on free position attempts throughout the two games. Nolan closed out the week with 20 draw controls, including a career-high 14 against Saint Michael's. Her 14 draw controls is the second most in a single game in program history. She also had four goals this week to finish with four points.
The Chargers return to action tonight in a regional matchup against No. 9 LIU Post. Game time under the lights at Kathy Zolad Stadium is set for 7:00 pm.
