SOUTHWICK, Mass. – The University of New Haven women's golf team made its debut in early September and has concludes its first ever season in program history with the 2022 Northeast-10 Conference Championships at The Ranch Golf Club.
Overall, New Haven finished the two-day event in seventh place among a field of seven teams. Leading the Blue and Gold through its first ever conference tournament was freshman Danielle Jastrab (Camino, Calif./Eldorado) who finished the 36-hole events tied for 23rd overall among a field of 36 golfers. Jastrab finished her first championship event with a combined 182, 38 strokes over par, shaving two strokes off of her opening round.
Following Jastrab in leading New Haven was freshman Emily Florin (Monroe, Conn./Masuk) who finished 30th overall with a two-round score of 200. Rounding out the Chargers five was graduate student Hannah Catall-Stooks (32nd, 216) and sophomores Abigail Hepler (/) (34th), 232) and Mackenzie Gardner (/) (t-35th, 241).
