Bostic takes home second Field Athlete of the Week award

MANSFIELD, Mass. – For the second time this season junior thrower Neva Bostic (Saint Johnsbury, Vt./St. Johnsbury Academy) took home Northeast 10 Field Athlete of the week following yet another record breaking throw competing at the Wilton Wright Invitational at Southern Connecticut State.

Through the storm, Bostic continued to best her personal and school record in the Javelin, marking a new personal best with a final throw of 39.51 meters. After sitting in third place going into the finals, just before the storm delay, she would get that throw in moving her into first and heading into the delay. That throw would hold and Bostic would win the meet and her second win on the year still with three to go. With those marks Bostic now moves to first in the conference and second in the region for the event.

Bostic and the women's track and field team prepares for their first week off since the start of the season before returning to the track after Easter to compete at the Jay Carisella Coaches Invitational meet in Boston Massachusetts all in final preparation ahead of the Conference Championships in May.
