FULL NCAA SELECTIONS & LIVE RESULTS

ALLENDALE, Mich. – University of New Haven Women's Track and Field jumper Kristen Washington (New Haven, Conn./James Hillhouse) will be representing the Blue and Gold at the NCAA Division II Championships, which will be held May 26-28 in Allendale, Michigan at the Grand Valley State Track & Field Stadium. A total of 754 participants, 377 men and 377 women, were selected to compete in the national championship event.

Washington will represent New Haven in the sand pit competing in the triple jump. With a mark of 12.40 meters Washington is the 19th seed out of 24 selected for the event. Washington jumped that mark in South Carolina at the beginning of the season at the Alan and Connie Shamrock Invitational Meet in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Washington is the first woman to represent the Chargers since 2018 when Riley Knebes qualified in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing fifth overall.
